DECEBALUS  ULTIMUM  REX  DACIAE
DECEBALUS THE LAST KING OF DACIA
55 aD – 106 aD

Decebalus was the last king of Dacia. He is famous for fighting three wars, with varying success, against the Roman Empire under two emperors.  When Trajan Imperator of Rome came to power, his armies invaded Dacia, Decebalus committed suicide to avoid capture.
One third of Dacia's territory was occupied by the Roman Empire, and in the rest it was divided into small states, which permanently attacked the Roman legions, causing huge losses.
The reign of Rome lasted until 271 aD, when the Roman legions were withdrawn. Unfortunately, the old kingdom of Dacia could not be rebuilt.
